Quote Of The Week ♥

"What if I told you 10 years from now your life would be exactly the same?
Doubt you'd be happy.
So, why are you afraid of change?"

- Karen Salmansohn.

Hiyaa lovelies, so here's a quick little post that will hopefully have a bit of positivity haha.

I came across this quote earlier and thought it needed to be shared! It's a good reminder that if something's holding you back, or you want to make a new move, with whatever, and you're too worried about it, thinking about it in the long run can help. Picture your future self and think about what they'd be thankful for. Or maybe even think of your past self. Either way, sometimes stepping back or forwards from your present self can help see the bigger picture.

Goal: Change something you've wanted to change for a while now, no matter how big or small.

Good luck and take care ♥

Gift Ideas When On A Budget

Hiyaa everyone, today I'm going to give a few ideas for gifts when you're on a budget!

▪ Bookmark
You can make & personalise a bookmark as a little gift.

▪ Poem
If you're good at writing (or even if you aren't!) you could write a poem, whether it's funny, personal or emotional :P

▪ Video
If you enjoy filming and editing, why not create a video as a gift?

▪ Photo Collage
This is a cute way to keep it personal ♥

So here are just a few ways to give sweet, little gifts to those you love.
(This is too cliché for my liking :P)

Take care!

Summer Ideas!

Hiya everyone. Hope you've had a great week! Today I thought I'd share some ideas to kind of record and document your summer. There are several ideas I came up with, some more obvious than others...So here they are:

▪ Video
Now this may seem obvious but a way to make it more interesting is to film what you do on a daily basis so it's like a diary (or a vlog...but you don't need to upload it to the internet). Edit it and insert dates and timings and put it in order, so at the end of summer you can relive the memories!

▪ Photo Album
Take photos and print them, then place them in a photo album dedicated to your summer. Nowadays, we take lots of photos but they're mostly on our phone, laptops or social networks. Therefore printing them and being able to look through them in a photo album is more special.

▪ Photo Collage
Like with the photo album, you'll need to print the photos and then stick them all together creating a collage! You could try printing them different sizes so that it'd be easier to fit together and look more interesting.

▪ Scrap Book
The good thing about scrap booking is that you can literally add any bits and pieces and it can never be too messy. Add receipts, leaflets, wrappers, photos, notes, letters...anything! Anything that was part of your summer will do. I find adding a sentence or two is more exciting as it helps add a little more detail.

▪ Letter
You could send letters to a family member or friend every week telling them what you've been up to. It'd be fun if you knew what they've been up to as well. At the end of the summer, you could then meet up with them and return each other's letters so that you can keep it as a diary. If you wanted to have a copy of both however (yours and theirs), you could always photocopy them. Also, if physically posting letters is complicated for you, email could also be used.

▪ Diary/Journal
Or the most obvious one... Is to keep a diary (and try to stick to it)! Everyday write down what you've done, even if it wasn't particularly exciting. That way you have it all written down and ready to look through when you want to relive the memories.

Hope you've enjoyed this post and do let me know if you want me to keep doing these type. Have a lovely weekend ♥

Update!

Hiya reader,

Hope your week went well and that your plans for the weekend all go according to plan. Todays' post doesn't really have a purpose (oopsie, haha). But I will share a little update!

  • We’ve moved house and it’s such a relief and was actually temporarily distracting.
  •  Tomorrow I would have completed my first month in recovery, aka, with a meal plan and regular sessions with my Clinician.
  • [TW] I’ve put on approx. a kilo in the past month, although the ED centre aim for a kilo a week. Originally, Family-Based Therapy was being used but now my Clinician is considering other options that might work better.
  •  I’m hoping to start a journal/scrap-book, which is something that might work as a distraction.
  •  I have actually filmed a Room Tour for my YouTube channel and I’ll be uploading it soon.
  • I now have my own room and it feels so good.
Also, if anyone has any suggestions for YouTube videos, do leave a comment! I'm hoping to film a bunch of videos and upload them over July. Anyways, as I said, this post is pretty pointless, sorry haha. But here's a little quote for you...

No matter how broken my heart may feel, I will always be grateful it still has a beat.
