#ProjectPositive
Happy May lovelies, hope you're all well. I have just uploaded a video on my YouTube channel where I discuss a new little movement I want to do this month.
#ProjectPositive is a way in which I will document a positive thing from each day on my Twitter and Tumblr, with the aim to better my outlook on life. I was always known as the 'positive' person in a group; continuously looking at the good things in every situation possible. Over the last few years, my mental health (I struggle with depression, anxiety and an eating disorder) has deteriorated and I find myself in a constant state of self-hate and self-destruction, with many negative thoughts about myself, the world and how people see me. Therefore, I'm creating this challenge to benefit anyone that wants to get involved.
I hope you can join in with me and focus on the good parts of the day, no matter how small it may be!
Love and Hugs,
Hana!
Take CARE and spread the WORD! (thank you!)

My Ramadan Tips
I filmed a Ramadan special the other day where I suggested some things to alter in your everyday life in order to hopefully benefit you!
As a reminder, this is a reminder to myself first and foremost.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZU41AZR4mLk
If you don't have the time to watch the 5 minute video, then I'll quickly bullet point some of the points that I mentioned:
- Smile and give more 'Salam'.
- Wear less make-up (therefore, focusing on your inner self).
- Cook for your family.
- Read Quran.
- Teach a sibling, friend, etc., something valuable, i.e. Quran.
- Gift someone something meaningful, such as a prayer mat.

Photo Editing
Hiya lovelies ❤
Here are a few pictures that I have edited by using two main apps that I love!
Afterlight: I have paid for the full version (around £1 - £2) and I really like how quick and easy it is! I used to brighten and contrast my pictures dramatically haha...but now I prefer a more faded and natural-looking filter! I then use Square InstaPic just to create a white border and make sure it's square (so that it's easier to post on Instagram, make into a profile photo, etc.)
I've gone through loaaaads of photography and editing apps over the past few years and I like constantly experimenting with them!

What Shall I DO?
I hope all of you are okay and having a good week so far! (It's finally Friday tomorrow, yay!)
So, as you may - or may not - know already, I am in my first year of A Levels. I take three subjects (round of applause to those who take four...or even five) and it is exhausting. However, just because I'm doing A Levels, it doesn't mean I want to go to university. You see, I'm in a bit of a muddle when it comes to what I want to do. So I made a video with a few things that are options for or instead of Higher Education.
I hope the video potentially helps! It is quite brief, however, once he topic is one I'm more knowledgeable on, I may make a part two!
Leave me a comment letting me know what you think you might do!
Take care,
Hana x

Update (Hello 2015)
I don't have a particular aim or plan of what I want to write but I do know that something inspired me to write a little today. As I am currently reading a book on feminism, I realised a lot of things I feel, have felt and will undoubtedly feel, are definitely not natural. This ranges from being scared of walking alone in the street, even if it is light outside, to feeling the need that I need to be small, or the annoying feeling I get when I know that my sister and I will never be as "free" as possible.
Now, I respect "boundaries" and have certain things that I wouldn't be willing to do...this is not necessarily related to my gender...but simply because I wouldn't be comfortable doing it. I am in no means against males, I have a brother, father, grandad, uncles, have had respectable male teachers, and so on, therefore I appreciate that "Not All Men" is an honest phrase. However, this does not eliminate the sexism that generally DOES take place - ranging from actions that take place at schools, work, public, or even in people's mindset.
"You're a boy, you can't become a designer."
"Come on, be serious Ellie, you don't really think you can be an astronaut, do you?"
"Aw, you're a little girl, why would you cut your hair?"
"Mikey, put your sister's doll down."
I understand that our biological differences make us more suitable to certain roles, but let's not forbid the future generation from certain things, simple based on their gender. Teach little girls that they can be energetic and play outside. Don't deprive boys from things like arts and crafts. Let kids be kids, without the gender stereotypes. Maybe then, the next generation will grow up respecting each other, despite biological/gender differences, and treating one another equally...which is what feminism is about. EQUALITY.

Update!
Hope your week went well and that your plans for the weekend all go according to plan. Todays' post doesn't really have a purpose (oopsie, haha). But I will share a little update!
- We’ve moved house and it’s such a relief and was actually temporarily distracting.
- Tomorrow I would have completed my first month in recovery, aka, with a meal plan and regular sessions with my Clinician.
- [TW] I’ve put on approx. a kilo in the past month, although the ED centre aim for a kilo a week. Originally, Family-Based Therapy was being used but now my Clinician is considering other options that might work better.
- I’m hoping to start a journal/scrap-book, which is something that might work as a distraction.
- I have actually filmed a Room Tour for my YouTube channel and I’ll be uploading it soon.
- I now have my own room and it feels so good.
No matter how broken my heart may feel, I will always be grateful it still has a beat.- Demi Lovato

YouTube Channel!
I do appear quite shy in the video mind you. Also, the editing isn't that good, however, hopefully over time it'll get better through practice. I do plan to upload more videos, including hauls, advice videos, Q&A's and even ones with my little sister, Aishah :)
Let me know what you think, and any advice or comments are much appreciated.
Thanks a bunch.
Take Care,
Hana

Quote of the Day ♥
Lately I've felt like a burden among those around me, including myself. I feel like I have to make conflicting decisions when, to be honest, all I want to do is sleep for days on end. However, yesterday I came across a quote that I think anyone could benefit from.
"If other people do not understand our behaviour - so what? Their request that we must only do what they understand is an attempt to dictate to us. If this is being "asocial" or "irrational" in their eyes, so be it. Mostly they resent our freedom and our courage to be ourselves. We owe nobody an explanation or an accounting, as long as our acts do not hurt or infringe on them. How many lives have been ruined by this need to "explain," which usually implies that the explanation be "understood," I.e. approved. Let your deeds be judged, and from your deeds, your real intentions, but know that a free person owes an explanation only to himself - to his reason and his conscience - and to the few who may have a justified claim for explanation."
- Erich Fromm, The Art Of Being.
This quote could help anyone with almost anything. Whether you're dealing with a mental illness and want to recover, whether you want to do something you love that not everyone approves of. Maybe you simply want to stay at home rather than going out on the weekend. Whatever it is, no matter if it's big or small, you should be able to do it without feeling scared, guilty or unworthy. You don't need to justify your choices to others. As long as you feel comfortable doing it, then that's all that matters. Anyone who wants to bring you down isn't even worth an explanation. They aren't worth the stress and worry. Because at the end of the day, your life should be based on YOU. Not what others might think of it, neither what they might think of you. As long as your intentions are pure and you believe that what you're doing is what's best for you, that's all that really matters.
With love,
Hana ♥
